Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Shaun Bradley will miss the entire 2023 season after suffering an injury in the team’s preseason 20-19 loss against the Baltimore Ravens.
Bradley’s injury happened in the third quarter of Saturday’s game while Bradley was on punt coverage. Bradley went down on the play and didn’t get up, and as teammates surrounded him he was carted off the field into the locker room. While the Eagles said Bradley left the game with a lower leg injury, ESPN’s Tim McManus reported that Bradley suffered a torn Achilles.
Bradley confirmed the news in an Instagram post, writing: “Thank you to everyone who has reached out an kept me in their prayers…. It was needed… not how i wanted the season to end for me…. But i believe that god truly does give his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers… ive been beating the odds my entire life… im not even suppose to be here…just another chapter in my story… I will be back better than i ever was… i can promise that…Aint abt who bleed first… its abt who Standin last Love”
Bradley, a fourth-year linebacker out of Temple University, was drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL draft. Bradley was entering his fourth year with the Eagles and is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2023 season.
